Academic & Career Opportunities

In 2024/2025 ASA International Law has placed a strong emphasis on career-focused events to help our members build the practical skills and professional confidence needed for a future in international law.

We’ve introduced a series of hands-on workshops and networking opportunities designed to bridge the gap between academic studies and the professional world.

In addition, our members receive a monthly newsletter filled with tailored content - ranging from internship opportunities and academic calls-for-papers to updates on upcoming lectures. These resources are curated to align with your interests in public and private international law, human rights, diplomacy, and beyond.

OUR ANNUAL TRIPS

Geneva & The Hague

Each year, ASA organizes a four-day study trip to Geneva, giving students the unique opportunity to experience international law in action. Participants gain firsthand insight into the institutions they often explore in class.

Students meet professionals and diplomats, participate in guided tours, and gain firsthand insight into the day-to-day workings of major international legal bodies.

We also organize shorter excursions to The Hague - home to the International Court of Justice, the International Criminal Court, and several other institutions central to international law and diplomacy.
